Watches have been an integral part of both men's and women's wardrobes for quite some time now. Watches are such a staple of daily necessity that when they aren't working as they should, it's as if a piece of yourself is missing.
Here at Georgetown Jewelers we can repair or restore most timepieces, from your antique pocket watch that has been in the family for decades, to your more modern high grade Movado. We would be happy to give you an estimate to repair your watch, which, during the majority of the year, can be completed on the premises by our on-staff, expert watch-maker. Watch repair services are encompassed by simple tasks such as replacing scratched or damaged crystals and replacing damaged stems and crowns, to more intricate and complex repairs such as overhauls and cleaning and regulating timepiece movements. Most watch repairs come with a full one-year warranty. During the three months when on-premises repair is not available, we will send your watch out to a local watch repair facility who will handle your watch with the same care and attention to detail that we would provide for you in our own store.
We can also replace watch batteries in your timepieces while you wait in our store. Most battery replacements can be completed in 5-10 minutes per watch and come with a one-year warranty with installation. If your watch is running efficiently but just needs a little sprucing up, feel free to come in for a new watch band or strap. In most cases, bands can be replaced while you wait. We carry a wide selection of leather straps and metal bands to fit most watches.
Cleaning of the exterior case and band of your watch is a service we also provide in cases where a new band is not necessary, but the timepiece can use a little freshening. We will disassemble the watch to allow the most thorough cleaning possible.
